Work with the assistant
What the assistant can do for you, why it only proposes while people approve, how its answers cite the help, and what happens to your data.
The assistant reads your company's records and helps with the work around them: finding a lot, tracing it, checking what a report still needs, or drafting an action for your approvers. Open it from the header, or full page in Assistant.
What it can do
- Answer questions about your lots, their lineage, certificates, approvals and audit log: "Which lots come from Lote Alto, and who holds them now?"
- Run longer tasks, each as visible steps. Type / to see them: trace a lot, compute a recall scope, prepare an EUDR evidence pack, review EUDR or FSMA 204 gaps, or explain why a delivery would be refused.
- Draft actions: register a lot, process lots, change a lot's status, attach a certificate, deliver a lot, generate a report, or draft an automation for an owner or admin to publish.
- Type @ to mention a lot, or attach the page you are on as context. Plan first makes it propose its steps and wait for you before it starts.
It also starts from other pages: Start recall in Traceability and Prepare with the assistant in Reports.
It proposes, people approve
The assistant cannot change anything on its own.
- When it wants to act, it shows a card with the sentence of what would happen, what it affects and its risks, marked Waiting for you.
- Create proposal turns it into a pending approval; Reject tells the assistant why not.
- A member with approval rights then gives the approval in Approvals, with two-factor. Because you asked for it, another member must approve it.
Approvers see "Drafted by the AI assistant: check every value against your records".
Answers cite the help
For questions about how to use the console, the assistant answers from these help articles and links each section it used, so you can read the source. If the help does not cover it, it says so instead of guessing steps, and offers to contact support.
Your data and privacy
- The assistant works with your own permissions. It cannot read anything you cannot.
- Your company decides whether members may use it, in AI & data (Assistant). Your organization may set this for all its companies. Owners, admins, operators and auditors can use it.
- Reports it requests leave out the names of people.
- Clear deletes a conversation. Proposals and runs it already created are not affected.
- A-REX support never sees your conversations, unless you choose to include one when you report a problem. See Report a problem.
