What the platform is

A-REX Platform keeps the traceability records of agricultural lots for companies, in business words, with every change approved by the company's own people.

Who it is for

A-REX Platform is for the companies that handle agricultural goods between the farm and the factory: cooperatives, warehouses, processors, exporters, importers and roasters. It also serves the people who check their work: quality teams, auditors, certifiers, buyers and authorities.

A company uses it to:

  • register its harvests and the lots it receives, in the units it works with;
  • record deliveries, splits, blends and processing, so that every lot keeps its history;
  • attach certificates and lab results, and see who stands behind each one;
  • connect with suppliers and customers, ask for missing evidence and recall lots across companies;
  • check a lot or a shipment against a set of requirements, such as the information EUDR due diligence asks for;
  • find inconsistencies and gaps in its own records before someone else does, with Humboldt, the platform's AI analyst, explaining them;
  • produce reports and sealed documents for buyers, auditors and authorities.

How it works

Each company has its own traceability ledger: a permanent record of its lots. A record is never edited or deleted; a correction is a new record that follows the old one.

Nothing reaches the ledger on one person's word. Every change starts as a proposal that reads as a sentence ("Deliver 12,000 kg of lot CAF-2026-014 to the roaster"), and a member with the right to approve it confirms it with a second factor. The company decides which actions need which approvals.

The ledger holds no personal data and no documents. Names, tax numbers, contacts, addresses and plot coordinates stay encrypted in the company's directory; a certificate's file stays with the company and only its fingerprint is recorded. Each lot has a public record without personal data, so a buyer can check it without an account.

The console

People work in a web console, in nine languages. Its main areas are:

AreaWhat it holds
Homewhat needs attention: approvals waiting, findings, expiring certificates, deliveries in progress
Harvests & lotsevery lot, its story, its certificates, where it came from and where it went
Deliveries, Processingmoving lots to other companies and sites, and making new lots from old ones
Certificatescertificates and lab results, trusted issuers, disputes
Traceability & recalltracing a lot forwards and backwards and preparing a recall
Networkconnected suppliers and customers, evidence requests, received lots
Findingswhat the AI analysis found in the records, explained by Humboldt, the AI analyst
Dashboards, Reportsnumbers taken from the records, and sealed documents
Automationsroutine work that runs by itself, with people approving what matters
Approvals, Auditproposals waiting, and who did what and when

Rules the platform keeps

  • People approve. The assistant, automations, integrations and outside agents can prepare changes. Only a person approves them.
  • Evidence, not verdicts. The platform shows what the records hold and what is missing. It never states that a lot, product or company complies with a regulation. The company and its advisers decide that, and the authority checks it.
  • Goods, not financial products. A lot is a quantity of physical goods. The platform never presents lots or certificates as investments.
  • Business words. People see lots, records, accounts and approvals. The technical layer stays out of sight unless a company chooses to manage it itself.
  • Open records. The records follow the A-REX standard, so another tool can read and check them. A company is not tied to the platform to prove its history.

How it relates to the standard

The A-REX standard defines how a lot, its lineage, its status and its certificates are recorded. A-REX Platform is one implementation of it, run as a service. A company's ledger is built from a published release of the reference implementation; the platform shows on each company's technical page whether its ledger follows the standard, rule by rule.

Status

A-REX Platform is in alpha. Companies use it today in sandboxes and on test ledgers while the production service is prepared. Request access on Request early access.
